Ashlar preserves the beloved rounded trapezoidal shape of the late 50s while introducing revolutionary technological advancements that lend a contemporary weight to its frame.

As a part of the DITA-LAMINATE series, this frame undergoes a meticulous process where an internal steel panel is chemically etched, plated, and hand-laminated between two layers of lightweight acetate. While this contrast-pairing technique requires up to three times more time compared to conventional methods, it results in frames with razor-thin profiles that are both sturdier and lighter than traditional acetate frames. This unique process is a hallmark of DITA's craftsmanship, executed by a skilled team of artisans at the company's production facilities in Japan.
